Senior SEO Manager

Highlight Media Group (HLM) is one of the world’s most important players in several online lifestyle, entertainment and consumer segments. Our core business is search engine positioning and online lead generation; we are also a large provider of quality web content and functionality. HLM own and operate some of the largest and most qualitative online guides in the world.

Reporting to the Head of SEO, the main responsibilities are:

Monitor and grow organic traffic of our existing assets, with constant audits, suggestions and improvements while mitigating risks. This role also implies helping and coaching other shareholders about the importance of the SEO together with the latest Google updates.

Daily Tasks

  • Setting the products onsite/offsite SEO strategies per market of responsibility
  • Optimize sites (Copy/Landing pages) for different search engines
  • Analyze web traffic
  • Plan and follow-up of traffic- and marketing acquisition initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining Keyword lists
  • Contribute to secure the quality of traffic acquisition
  • Penalization risk management
  • Contributor within areas of strategy, business planning and business development
  • Securing the company’s competitiveness within SEO and traffic acquisition methods
  • Contribute to the development of support tools for traffic acquisition and SEO
  • Knowledge transfer cross markets and products
  • Work with different shareholders to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly or past developed code
  • Include what a good content manager should be doing every day in order to fulfill his/her role

Experience/qualifications/skills necessary for entry into this job.

  • Minimum of 3-years experience in SEO
  • Great attitude and ambition to grow
  • A good understanding of Google algorithm changes, risks and mitigation of risks
  • Experience with some SEO tools such as Majestic, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and a basic understanding of content management systems
  • Initiative taking and hard working with a strong determination to succeed
  • Result, quality and detail oriented
  • Team player with project management skills
  • Good skills in the office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excel – Working with big data volumes, pivot/filtered tables
  • Fluent in English

CRO Specialist

As a CRO Specialist, you will be part of the Design team within a dynamic and growing Tech team, closely collaborating with talented Visual and UX Designers.

Reporting to the Head of Design your duties and responsibilities are

  • Optimise websites experience, landing pages, ad creatives, to help deliver long term results
  • Manage and optimise key conversion points in the marketing funnel, in order to increase the lead-to-customer
  • Develop hypotheses and build and execute A/B or multivariate tests according to the optimisation strategy and testing plan
  • Identify UX pain points and problems with the conversion rate of core products through quantitative and qualitative research, such as: conversion rate, user engagement, time-on-site, click through rate, etc.
  • Working hand in hand with UX/UI Designers to deliver effective solutions
  • Can work on many projects simultaneously
  • Analyse and evaluate experiments – reporting on results and devising iterations on concepts to drive the testing strategy.
  • Monitor industry trends and new product offerings to stay up to speed and ahead of the competition

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Past experience with web analytics (such as Google Analytics), A/B testing, and growth hacking
  • Strong knowledge of CRO research methods (user experience, surveys, analytics, heat maps, etc…)
  • Create wireframes, designs and generate hypotheses
  • Proficient with CRO analytics tools such as Hotjar
  • Deep knowledge of UX processes including but not limited to customer journey mapping, user interviews, and persona development
  • Ability to recognise the need for continuous process improvement, provide creative solutions, and maintain awareness of trending industry strategies to increase process efficiencies.
  • Proven ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate and deliver reports or recommendations
  • Eager to learn new technologies and techniques
  • Have a great team player attitude

Dutch Content Manager

Reporting to the Head of Content, the main responsibilities are:

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver upon the content orders – Liaising with the SEO team and Account Managers to deliver the content demands.
  • Majority of the work of the Content Manager will be onsite SEO work – In compliance with SEO team, conducting onsite optimizations on sites of responsibility.
  • Working hands-on with the onsite content to increase the UX and SEO value.
  • Decreasing amount of onsite errors to improve the sites performance.
  • Running offsite marketing projects with the main goal to increase organic search traffic and leads.
  • Manage the freelancers for the market (when applicable) to assure the best quality content in accordance to the demand, while keeping expenditures within the budget set.
  • Be fully responsible for the onsite content of your sites.

  • Native Dutch language skills

PHP Developer

Reporting to the Team Lead – Data CAS your job duties and responsibilities are:

  • Be part of a team developing systems for the Data and Affiliate teams
  • Perform code reviews
  • Be able to identify stakeholders’ requirements and transform them in a tangible solution
  • Keep code repositories with latest version of code and up to date descriptions
  • Build documentation for systems being developed
  • Works under minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in development using PHP 5.6/7 and familiarity with Symfony, HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of open source OS such as Linux
  • Fluent with version control systems such as Git

  • Fluent with MySQL / Mongo database maintenance and tuning
  • Knowledge of Nginx and / or Apache web servers
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker)
